Onryō — The Vengeful Spirit

In Japanese folklore the onryō is a spirit so wronged in life that death cannot quiet it. Long black hair, white burial robes, no feet. They do not haunt places, wanderer — they haunt injustice. Where the living have buried a wrong, an onryō will dig it up.
