Black Shuck
1 min read
On the lonely roads of East Anglia walks a great black hound with eyes like coals — Black Shuck. To meet him is an omen; to be touched by him, a death within the year. In 1577 he is said to have burst into a church mid-storm and killed two parishioners where they knelt, leaving scorch marks on the door that the wood still bears. Do not look for his eyes in the fog.
