The Watchers at the Edge

Shadow people appear in the corner of vision — tall, hat-brimmed, faceless. Modern parapsychology calls them hypnagogic intruders, born in the threshold between sleep and waking. Older traditions called them the unborn, the unfinished, the ones who never got a name.
